“The Sons of Solomon (1760-2008) A Yeoman-Yeomans-Youmans Genealogy” compiled and edited by Gerald Delano Hooks

Earlier this year, while performing some genealogy research in South Carolina and Georgia, I spent some time in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, Georgia researching in the court house, library, cemeteries, etc. During my time there, I had the privilege and honor of visiting with Mr. Gerald Delano Hooks Sr. We discussed family genealogy and his recently published book: “The Sons of Solomon (1760-2008) A Yeoman-Yeomans-Youmans Genealogy”.

I immediately purchased a copy of his book because I’m related to the Yeomans family and Solomon Yeomans – Revolutionary War soldier, listed in his book, is my 5th great-grandfather.

The book is well documented from his 30 years of genealogy research of the Yeoman/Yeomans/Youmans and related families. The book contains over 805 pages of his family research results, documents and photographs. The book is a treasure trove of information on the Yeoman/Yeomans/Youmans and related families. I highly recommend adding it to your genealogy and family history collection.
