55th Annual Thompson Reunion and Homecoming

The 55th Annual Thompson Family Reunion and Homecoming will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the Ebenezer Methodist Church located at Kemp, Emanuel County, Georgia (located west of Swainsboro, GA.).

The speaker for this years reunion is Dr. John K. Derden, Professor Emeritus of History, East Georgia College. He is one of the leading scholars on Civil War history and will be discussing his work in the excavation of Camp Lawton, a Civil War prisoner of war camp located in Millen, Jenkins County, Georgia.

The Church doors will open at 9:30am for registration and visiting and the program will start at 10:30am. Dinner on the grounds begins at noon time, so bring a covered dish and enjoy the great fellowship with your cousins!
